AV Fistula

Arterio-venous fistulas (AV fistulas) can occur in the brain and spinal cord, leading to many different symptoms. In addition to harmless symptoms, such as so-called pulse-synchronous ringing in the ears, bleeding with neurological deficits can occur or spinal cord symptoms with gait disorders and even paraplegia with incontinence.

AV fistulas are often challenging to diagnose and can be very complex. It is essential to differentiate between "dangerous" and "harmless" AV fistulas and determine the appropriate treatment.

Our interdisciplinary Neuro-Vascular Center has extensive experience and all the technologies required to treat this rare disease.
