University Medicine Magdeburg achieves excellence status in the Corporate Health Award 2024
With its outstanding corporate health management, Magdeburg University Medical Centre fulfils the criteria of the Corporate Health Award for achieving the excellence status. The Corporate Health Award is a joint initiative of EUPD Research Sustainable Management and the Handelsblatt Media Group and is recognised as one of the most prestigious awards for sustainable corporate health strategies in Germany.
Thanks to its excellent performance in the qualification questionnaire, Magdeburg University Medicine was able to qualify for an audit. As part of the corporate health audit, it was demonstrated that the institution promotes the health and performance of its employees in an exemplary manner and pursues a sustainable HR strategy.
Outstanding corporate health management
The comprehensive and structured company health management (BGM) and the closely integrated company integration management (BEM), which has a preventative effect and develops customised solutions for employees through interdisciplinary teams, were particularly highlighted. The excellent integration of health issues into management development was also recognised. Overall, University Medicine Magdeburg ensures that employees and managers are equally sensitised to company and personal health issues and are actively involved in the processes.
Innovative personnel development and sustainable health culture
Another key criterion for the excellent rating was the exemplary personnel development strategy. All health offerings are specifically tailored to the needs of employees and are implemented in both a preventive and behavioural manner. Of particular importance is the combination of pathogenetic and salutogenetic measures, which not only prevent illness but also sustainably strengthen health-promoting factors.
With this award, University Medicine Magdeburg is one of the best employers in the field of occupational health management in Germany and thus sends a strong signal for a sustainable, employee-orientated corporate culture.
